Job description:
The welder fabricates and assembles metal parts, following technical drawings. This professional must be able to read and understand technical drawings and diagrams to carry out his work with precision. Their tasks include selecting welding techniques, preparing surfaces, carrying out welding and maintaining equipment. They guarantee weld quality, ensure workplace safety, and communicate effectively with the team.
You will have the opportunity to work in:
Welding and assembly: weld and assemble metal parts according to drawings and technical specifications.
Interpret technical drawings: read and interpret blueprints to make precise welds and assemble metal components according to the required diagrams.
Prepare materials for welding: prepare surfaces by cleaning, adjusting or grinding metal parts to ensure proper adhesion during welding.
Choose welding techniques: select appropriate welding methods according to the materials used, project specifications and company standards.
Equipment maintenance: regularly maintain welding equipment to ensure its smooth running and durability.
Check the quality of welds: verify the quality of welds produced using non-destructive testing and in compliance with established quality standards.
Profile required:
Level of training: Secondary V or equivalent. Diplôme d'Études Professionnelles (DEP) or Diplôme d'Études Collégiales (DEC) in welding or a related field.
Technical skills in welding and assembly: Mastery of welding and assembly techniques for metal parts used in industrial manufacturing.
Reading blueprints and interpreting specifications: Ability to understand and follow blueprints or technical drawings for welding and assembling metal structures.
Mastery of tools and equipment: Good knowledge and use of specific tools and machines, such as welding machines, flashlights, saws and drills.
Assembly and welding: Ability to make quality welds and assemble parts to obtain an aesthetic and functional product.
Safety and quality standards: Compliance with safety standards to prevent accidents in the production environment.
Adaptability and creativity: Ability to adapt to production requirements and solve problems creatively.
Relational and team spirit: Ability to maintain good relations with colleagues in a collaborative atmosphere.
